ABOUT AILA SCIENTIFIC COMMISSIONS
AILA has 19 Scientific Commissions reflecting the full scope of professional concerns of affiliates and members. As may be seen, the commissions cover a broad range of applied linguistics interests. In addition to the commissions listed, three new commissions are in the process of being organized (Computational Linguistics, Clinical Linguistics and Ecolinguistics). The list below includes the list of commissions and the names of their convenors. This section also provides the objectives of each Scientific Commission and the guidelines that determine the functioning of the commissions and their relationship to the Association.
